The fifth edition of the glamorous YUKATA Contest hosted by the Cambodia-based Three Hearts Foundation at the Angkor-Kizuna Hall of the Cambodia Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC) in Phnom Penh was held last month. YUKATA Contest is one of the most traditional components in the Japan-Cambodia Kizuna Festival which is a rich cultural mix of CJCC Festival and Japan Week Festival of Embassy of Japan held annually for the overarching purpose of introducing Japanese traditional and modern culture in Cambodia. This popular contest assumes added significance this year as Japan and Cambodia celebrate the 65th anniversary of Diplomatic relations between the two countries.
